This was my first big test as an artist...opening up for a huge artist that I'm lucky to call my friend and mentor. When I was first approached with the opportunity to open up for Sammy Johnson, I took this tour up without hesitation. It was a great way for me to end the year after doing a couple of runs opening up for CRSB and Anuhea in the previous months. There was a lot of prep work for me in getting ready for this tour including getting all of my merchandise ready, dialing in all of my social media platforms, advancing with each venue, and mentally preparing myself to give it all every night. There were 7 shows on this tour, and with each show, I can say that we left it all on the stage. We killed it night after night and I'm just so proud of my team and everyone who helped me get to this point in my career. I also just wanna give a huge shoutout to Sammy for having me on the road with him...it was a pleasure getting to open up for him alongside the queen out of Jamaica, Etana, and also Nomad. A big thank you to my band that showcased their talents at our "home" shows in LA and San Diego. Also a big thank you to my sister who backed me up on BV's for most of the tour and helping me stay focused. A last thank you to my girl who holds it down for me when i'm on the road. It's a hard life and not everyone is meant for it, so I'm thankful for my tight knit circle...ya'll are the real MVPs!
